Concerto Competition

Trula Whelan Concerto Festival

The Trula Whelan Concerto Festival gives students of strings and piano the opportunity to perform concerti literature. Competitors perform their concerto unaccompanied and are given a written evaluation of their performance. Those who give the strongest performances are awarded trophies. They are also awarded the opportunity to perform the concerto at a “Winners’ Recital” with piano accompaniment. Winners are unranked, and there is no limit to how many winners can be named.

If you would like your child to participate in the Trula Whelan Concerto Competition, talk to your teacher.
