OMTA West Portland’s regular workshops feature the region’s best artists and pedagogues, informing you of the latest tips, trends, and research in teaching and performance. Regular meetings provide you with a network of local music teachers with whom you can share successes, trade ideas, and refer students - and annual conferences allow you to learn from the world’s most dynamic and successful individuals in the music business.

OMTA West Portland has plenty to offer your students as well. We proudly provide your students with the region’s most extensive range of performance opportunities and educational programs, including music festivals, competitions, student shows, master classes, and our renowned Syllabus Evaluation program.

Our members are the concert artists of today and tomorrow, faculty members of Oregon’s fine music schools, and the private music teachers who build the foundation of America’s music scene.

As an affiliate of the Music Teachers National Association, OMTA West Portland shares these goals with music teachers throughout the nation. If you are not a member yet, we hope to welcome you soon.
