West Portland Masterclass

We are excited to announce a unique opportunity for your students! Applications are now being accepted to participate in a West Portland master class led by Ines Irawati on March 21st, 2025.

Following her highly praised master class and benefit concert on behalf of MusicLink last year, Ines will be back in Portland for several performances in March. West Portland District has invited Ines to enlighten, inspire, and entertain us with her vibrant teaching style and musical mastery. The class will focus on intermediate and advanced students. Requirements for Student Application:

• Student must be available to perform on Friday, March 21st at 10am (during regular school hours)

• Student must currently study with a West Portland OMTA member

• Repertoire selection should be OMTA Syllabus Level 6 or higher. Repertoire beyond Level 10

  is welcome

• All ages are welcome, from young students to adults

• Maximum time limit of 8 minutes

• Memorization of repertoire is not required

  Application Guidelines
  Teachers should send an email to westportland@oregonmta.org with the subject line

"March Masterclass Application" and include the following:

• Student's name, age (if under 18), syllabus level (or approximation), and years of study

• Title, Composer, and length in minutes of proposed masterclass selection

• Link to a YouTube video of the student performing the full proposed masterclass selection. No edits or excerpts allowed

• Attachment of a PDF of the score

• Applications are due February 10th
